Melbourne Zoo

Otherwise known as the Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens, the Melbourne’s zoo is conveniently just two miles north of city center and houses more than 300 animal species – many of which are native to Australia – in a natural setting. During summer weekends, hoards of visitors pile in to enjoy music, an evening stroll, and a picnic at the popular “Jazz at the Zoo” function. The Zoo is easily accessible by train, tram, as well as by bike.
